Payment Processor

All payment processing for NetKrypton paid plans is handled by Polar Software Inc. (Polar.sh), acting as the Merchant of Record. This means Polar.sh is the legal seller for billing and tax purposes, and the User's purchase agreement for payment processing is with Polar.sh, not directly with the Service Provider.

The Service Provider (Igor Oprządek / WebOrbiton Team) is the provider of the NetKrypton service itself and remains responsible for service delivery, API access, and support.

  • Payments are processed securely via Polar.sh's infrastructure. Full credit card numbers are never stored on NetKrypton servers.
  • Accepted payment methods are those offered by Polar.sh at the time of purchase (typically major credit/debit cards and additional methods as available).
  • All amounts are in US Dollars (USD) unless stated otherwise at checkout.
02

Subscription Plans and Pricing

The following paid plans are currently available for the NetKrypton Cloud API:

  • Developer: $2.00/month — 5,000 requests/month, daily database updates
  • Pro: $5.00/month — 50,000 requests/month, 12-hour database updates
  • Business: $15.00/month — 500,000 requests/month, real-time database updates

The Self-Hosted edition remains free of charge with no subscription required.

All prices are published at netkrypton.com and on the Polar.sh checkout page at the time of purchase. The price displayed at checkout is the binding price for that subscription period.

03

Billing Cycle and Renewal

All paid plans are billed on a monthly recurring basis. The billing cycle begins on the date the subscription is activated and renews on the same calendar date each month.

  • Renewal charges are applied automatically at the start of each new billing period using the payment method on file.
  • Monthly request quotas reset at the start of each billing period. Unused requests do not carry over.
  • The User will receive a receipt from Polar.sh for each successful charge.
  • Subscriptions remain active until cancelled by the User or terminated by the Service Provider in accordance with the Terms of Service.
To avoid being charged for the next period, cancellation must be completed before the renewal date. Cancelling on the renewal date itself does not guarantee prevention of that charge depending on processing time.
04

Free Tier and Self-Hosted Edition

The Self-Hosted edition is provided at no charge and requires no payment information, subscription, or account creation. It is available for download from the NetKrypton website and may be used commercially without attribution.

There is no "free trial" of the paid Cloud API. The Self-Hosted edition may be used to evaluate the database before committing to a paid plan.

05

Cancellation

Subscribers may cancel their plan at any time through their Polar.sh subscription management portal.

  • Upon cancellation, the subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing period.
  • API access is not revoked immediately upon cancellation; it continues until the period end date.
  • After the subscription period ends, the API key is deactivated and further requests will return an authentication error.
  • Cancellation does not automatically delete the User's account or any stored account data. To request account deletion, contact privacy@weborbiton.com.
06

Refund Policy

General rule: NetKrypton subscriptions are for digital services that are activated immediately upon payment. Pursuant to EU consumer law (Article 38(13) of the Polish Act on Consumer Rights), the right of withdrawal does not apply once digital service delivery has begun with the User's explicit consent and acknowledgement that the withdrawal right is lost.

By completing a subscription, the User expressly consents to immediate access and acknowledges the loss of the withdrawal right.

Refunds may be considered at the Service Provider's discretion in the following circumstances:

  • The Service experienced a significant, documented outage during the billing period (exceeding the 98.9% SLA for Pro/Business plans) and the User was materially affected
  • A billing error resulted in an incorrect charge (e.g. double-charge, wrong plan amount)
  • A subscription renewal occurred while a cancellation request was in process and demonstrably not applied in time due to a technical fault

Refunds are generally not provided for:

  • Partial months (including early cancellation mid-period)
  • Unused API requests within a period
  • Dissatisfaction with the threat database coverage or classification decisions
  • Accidental subscription renewal where the User failed to cancel in advance
  • Subscriptions older than 30 days from the charge date

To request a refund, contact contact@weborbiton.com with your subscription e-mail, a description of the issue, and the relevant charge date. Refund requests are reviewed within 5 business days.

07

Failed Payments

If a renewal payment fails, the following process applies:

  • Polar.sh will attempt to retry the payment according to its standard retry schedule (typically 3–4 attempts over several days).
  • The User will be notified by e-mail of the payment failure and asked to update their payment method.
  • If the payment cannot be collected after retries, the subscription will be suspended and API access deactivated.
  • Once a failed payment is successfully resolved, API access is restored for the remainder of the new billing period.

The Service Provider is not responsible for API downtime resulting from a failed payment on the User's part.

08

Plan Upgrades and Downgrades

Upgrading to a higher plan takes effect immediately. A prorated charge for the remainder of the current billing period may be applied by Polar.sh.

Downgrading to a lower plan takes effect at the start of the next billing period. The current plan's quota and update frequency remain in effect until the period ends.

Plan changes are managed through the Polar.sh subscription portal. Contact contact@weborbiton.com if you encounter any issues with a plan change.

09

Taxes and VAT

As Polar.sh acts as Merchant of Record, it is responsible for collecting and remitting applicable taxes (including VAT/GST) in accordance with local requirements. The price displayed at checkout may or may not include tax depending on the User's jurisdiction.

Business customers within the EU who have a valid VAT identification number may be eligible for reverse-charge VAT treatment. This is handled directly within the Polar.sh checkout process.

Invoices and receipts for tax purposes are issued by Polar.sh and made available through the subscription management portal.

10

Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback with a bank or card issuer without first contacting the Service Provider to resolve the issue is considered a breach of these Terms. If a fraudulent or unjustified chargeback is filed:

  • The associated account will be suspended immediately pending investigation.
  • The Service Provider reserves the right to permanently ban the account and associated e-mail address.
  • The Service Provider may pursue recovery of the disputed amount through available legal channels.

We encourage Users to contact us at contact@weborbiton.com before initiating any dispute with their payment provider. Most billing issues can be resolved quickly and directly.

11

Billing Disputes and Contact

For any billing question, incorrect charge, refund request, or subscription issue, contact us at:

  • E-mail: contact@weborbiton.com
  • Subject line: NetKrypton Billing — [your registered e-mail]

We aim to respond to all billing inquiries within 2 business days. For Polar.sh-specific issues (payment method updates, invoices, receipt requests), please also refer to Polar.sh support.

12

Changes to Pricing

The Service Provider reserves the right to change plan pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified by e-mail at least 30 days before any price change takes effect for their plan. The new price will apply from the next renewal date following the effective date of the change.

If a User does not wish to continue at the new price, they may cancel their subscription before the effective date without penalty. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
